Privacy & Consent Policy

How Classical Chorale UG Limited collects, uses and protects your information.

Last updated: 27 August 2026 · Applies to classicalchorale website and ticketing services operated by Classical Chorale UG Limited, Kampala, Uganda.

1. What information we collect

We collect only what we need to serve you:

  • Ticket purchases — your name, email address and phone number, so we can issue your tickets, email your receipt and reach you if an event changes.
  • Contact & live-chat messages — your name, contact details and the message you send us.
  • Audition applications — your name, contact details, voice part, instruments, and any audio or video recordings you choose to upload.
  • Sponsorship enquiries — your name, organisation, contact details and intended support.
  • Newsletter — your email address, when you subscribe.

2. How we use your information

  • To process ticket orders and deliver QR-coded tickets and receipts.
  • To verify tickets at event entrances and prevent fraud (each scan is logged with time and gate).
  • To respond to your messages, applications and sponsorship enquiries.
  • To send concert announcements and news — only if you subscribed, and every email lets you opt out.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. Payments

Payments are processed by licensed payment providers (such as MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Money, Pesapal, Flutterwave or PayPal). Your Mobile Money PIN, card number and banking credentials go directly to the provider — they never reach or touch our servers. We store only the payment reference, amount and status needed to confirm your order.

4. Audition recordings

Audio and video samples submitted with audition applications are reviewed only by the choir's music team for assessment purposes. They are not published, shared or used in promotion without your separate, explicit permission.

5. Cookies & local storage

We use only what is strictly necessary to run the site:

  • A session cookie and a security (CSRF) cookie that make forms and ticket purchases work safely.
  • A small browser record of your consent choice, so we don't ask you on every visit.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Embedded YouTube videos load in privacy-enhanced mode and only when you press play; YouTube's own policies apply from that point.

6. When we share information

  • Payment providers — the minimum details needed to process your payment (name, phone, email, amount).
  • Event entry staff — see the ticket-holder name and ticket type when scanning your ticket at the gate.
  • Legal requirements — if required by the laws of Uganda, including the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019.

7. Retention & security

Ticket and payment records are kept for our accounting obligations. Audition materials for candidates who are not admitted, and resolved enquiries, are deleted after a reasonable period. Access to personal information is limited to authorised choir administrators, protected by individual accounts, and every ticket scan is audited.

8. Your rights

In line with the Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 (Uganda), you may at any time ask us to:

  • show you the personal information we hold about you;
  • correct information that is inaccurate;
  • delete your information where we are not legally required to keep it;
  • unsubscribe you from the newsletter.

By using this site, purchasing tickets, submitting a form or subscribing to our newsletter, you consent to the collection and use of your information as described in this policy. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us — this will not affect tickets already issued or payments already processed.
